Text sorting – a simple JavaScript app

The objective is to sort lines of text. Building a simple interface for it will improve your basic skills and knowledge of JavaScript.

Basic requirements

1. A textarea where the user enters or pastes lines of text.
2. A button that sorts the lines alphabetically.
3. A button that shuffles the lines.

Future improvements

1. An option to ignore whitespace at the start of the lines.
2. Files:
   • the user can drop a file onto the app
   • the file’s contents fill the textarea
3. A button that restores the original order of the lines.
